Kia releases exterior pictures of the all-new 2017 Cadenza

(November 25, 2015) Kia has unveiled an exterior views of its redesigned 2017 Cadenza sedan, which will go on sale worldwide next year. The new Cadenza, called the K7 in Korean, has a sharper, more angular look than the outgoing version.

“The next-generation Cadenza maintains the progressive, contemporary image of the current model, and the sharper more defined lines and wider, lower stance give the new model a modern and thoroughly distinctive new look — with key design elements ensuring the new Cadenza remains recognizable as a Kia,” the Korean automaker said in a statement.

The Cadenza was launched in the U.S. in 2013 and Kia has sold 5,898 Cadenzas this year through October, a 28 percent decline from the same period in 2014. Kia has said it aims to sell about 12,000 of the cars per year.

The full size sedan has an updated front fascia, which now wears Kia's "tiger-nose" signature grille flanked by sharp wraparound LED headlights and muscular fenders. The sloping roofline was toned down compared to earlier teaser images and at the rear Kia added a chrome strip, surrounding the taillights and joining them together.

Unknown at this point is what’s powering the K7/Cadenza, potential drive configurations, and what the interior looks like. What is known is that the new car will go on sale across the globe in 2016.

The full-sized Cadenza sedan sits above the Optima in Kia’s lineup, and below the K900.
