Jaguar Land Rover launches veterans employment program

(April 19, 2016) MAHWAH, N.J. — Jaguar Land Rover North America has announced that between now and 2019, the company will facilitate the hiring of military veterans across its retail network. This plan builds on Jaguar Land Rover U.K. efforts to facilitate employment of transitioning service members, veterans, and currently serving members of the National Guard and Reserve.

The U.S. retail network employment plan will be managed in collaboration with CALIBRE Systems, Inc. — a management consulting and information technology company that supports government and industry. Jaguar Land Rover, North America seeks to place up to 180 veterans across its North American retail network this year. Currently Jaguar Land Rover has 217 retailer facilities in the United States.

"Those who have served in our nation's military are rightfully admired for their skills, discipline, character and drive and would have much to offer any hiring retailers," said Joe Eberhardt, president and CEO, Jaguar Land Rover, North America. "This program will help bring skilled potential employees with military service background together with our growing U.S. retail network."

As part of the luxury car manufacturer's global commitment to support the Armed Forces, Jaguar Land Rover will return this year as presenting partner of the Invictus Games in Orlando, Fla., the international sporting event for Wounded, Ill and Injured Service Members, taking place from May 8-12.

"We are also pleased to be presenting the Invictus Games in Orlando this May," added Eberhardt. "The competition is both inspirational and a fitting tribute to the courage and determination of the wounded and injured Service Members around the world."
