Hyunadi rolls into 2019 with 10 all-new or redesigned vehicles

(November 9, 2018) ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Hyundai Motor America continues an aggressive portfolio makeover spanning the past 12 months, featuring an unprecedented 10 all-new or enhanced models. Heading into 2019, the Hyundai fleet has been entirely refreshed.

Highlights from this portfolio make over include the all-new Kona compact crossover; three new eco-friendly options with Kona EV and NEXOFuel Cell Vehicle joining the refreshed Sonata Hybrid/PHEV; and a fresh new look for all of Hyundai’s volume leaders — Sonata, Elantra, Tucson and Santa Fe.

The addition of 10 new or significantly enhanced models gives Hyundai one of the freshest looks in the industry heading into the new year, with additional models on their way early in the calendar year.

“Hyundai has initiated one of its most ambitious portfolio makeovers in U.S. history,” said Mike O’Brien, vice president, product, corporate and digital planning, Hyundai Motor America. “Having an onslaught of new or enhanced products in the marketplace conveys our commitment in providing consumers with a variety of high-quality vehicles meeting their individual lifestyle needs.”

Hyundai’s fresh fleet of vehicles is meeting with early sales success. Retail sales were up 3 percent in October, and showed year-over-year gains. In the first half of next year, Hyundai will unveil two all-new models that will further expand its lineup into high-demand categories.
