Hemmings and ClassicCars.Com collaborate on classic car photo gallery

(September 15, 2011) BENNINGTON, Vt. and PHOENIX — Hemmings Motor News, the classic and collector car magazine, and ClassicCars.com, an online classic vehicle marketplace, today announced the public release of a co-branded, interactive photo gallery devoted exclusively to the beauty of classic vehicles.

The new photo gallery combines hundreds of thousands of photos of classic and collector vehicles from both companies' websites.  Also featured are galleries containing spectacular photographs gathered from the archives of Hemmings Motor News Magazine and from the travels of ClassicCars.com editor, noted author and journalist Larry Edsall.

Classic car enthusiasts are invited to visit the gallery, search for their favorite vehicles, rate photos, and share the experience with their friends via email, Facebook, and Twitter.

"One of the great joys of working in this industry is admiring the beauty of so many gorgeous cars," said Roger Falcione, ClassicCars.com president and CEO.  "We're glad to partner with Hemmings in putting out the best from our respective archives for everyone to enjoy."

"Hemmings' readers have repeatedly told us in surveys and emails that they would like to see more photos of classic and collectible cars," said Jim Menneto, Hemmings president.  "This photo gallery collaboration is a direct response to those requests.  We've worked closely with the folks at ClassicCars.com over the past six months to make this the best possible experience we can provide with many thousands of organized photos of cars.  I'm very enthusiastic about this site and I think our readers will be, too."

The photo gallery is the latest collaboration project between the two industry leaders. The companies have previously announced that ClassicCars.com now carries select Hemmings Motor News editorial content on its website, and that Hemmings is partnering with ClassicCars.com to create a first-in-the-industry Certified Classic Vehicle program.
