GM lights Renaissance Center amber to honor COVID-19 victims



(January 21, 2021) DETROIT— General Motors illuminated its Detroit Renaissance Center global headquarters amber on Tuesday, Jan. 19, as part of the national memorial to honor and remember those who lost their lives to COVID-19.


Since the start of the global pandemic, GM converted facilities to assemble more than 30,000 critical care ventilators, directed grant funding to nonprofit organizations across the country addressing critical needs, and manufactured millions of face masks and thousands of face shields, protective gowns and aerosol boxes.

The Renaissance Center was lit amber from 5:30-11:59 p.m. ET on  Jan. 19.
