Custom Ford vehicles on display this week at SEMA

(October 30, 2017) LAS VEGAS — Ford tough and capable F-Series trucks and adventurous SUVs are ready to take adventure-seekers to new levels at the 2017 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) with customized power, off-roading gear and bold designs.

These 11 custom builds are part of the more than 50 vehicles Ford will have on display at the SEMA show, making it the largest automaker display at the event. Ford Out Front also offers attendees an interactive experience of riding in one of the performance cars or trucks on a closed course.

Project SD126: No mission is impossible

This 2017 Ford Super Duty XLT is an extremely capable vehicle right out of the gate. Dubbed “Project SD126,” it optimizes a 2017 Super Duty for ultimate off-road performance. Starting with a standard cab, this truck was converted to a short bed for the 126-inch wheelbase before transforming it inside and out with race-proven BDS and FOX suspension technology, a stout powertrain, and a wider body to accept the massive 42-inch tires. The cab features a pair of racing seats and harnesses along with an off-road GPS and custom stereo.

Lightning fast meets high performance

This custom 2018 F-150 recalls the sport-truck mania of the 1990s with continued emphasis on outright muscle. Its powerful stance creates an aggressive attitude powered by Air Design’s new line of Street Series Accessories that include full body styling kit, hood scoop, fender vents, rear spoiler and rear tailgate applique. Each custom piece is specifically CAD designed and crafted to fit the new 2018 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew, backed by Air Design’s long history of innovation and sleek designs with easy installation.

Adventure with a purpose

This bold truck flips the script for trucking adventure and caters to the outdoor enthusiast. The result is a sleek, clean design for the “Modern Adventurer.”

The “Modern Adventurer” project combines products that elevate this F-150 XLT SuperCrew to the mecca of technology and innovation, while serving a variety of uses for the ultimate adventure seeker. The custom black and red tonal paint job immediately grabs attention, while the all-new A.R.E. Z Revo cap protects the storage system and gear located in the bed of the truck. This F-150 was designed from bumper to bumper to modernize the adventure truck experience.

Ready for adventure, wherever the road leads

When there’s a bend in the road and rough terrain ahead, this custom F-150 is up to the task. As fun to drive on road as it is off with an eye-catching paint scheme and the seven-inch lift kit, this truck makes an instant impression. To make sure this monster can move, a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine is paired with a custom tune. For a little extra growl, a Ford Performance exhaust was added. Whether it’s the mountains or Manhattan, this F-150 can conquer any terrain in style and luxury.

A race-Inspired pickup with attitude

Inspired by performance on the track this F-150 XLT SuperCab is sure to turn heads.

Race-inspired ground effects deliver road-hugging handling. A functional ram air hood keeps the truck running cool while providing an aggressive front end. The custom two-tone paint job matching the wheels and tires really sets off this striking street truck.

More power, more fun, more muscle

The Ford F-150 RTR Muscle Truck is just as comfortable with a full load in the bed as it is doing donuts, playing in the dirt, jumping or spirited driving with friends. With a low, wide, aggressive and purposeful stance that incorporates modern design language, this truck is a new style and approach to F-150 multi-purpose machines capable of performing both on and off-road.

The tradition continues

The 2018 Tjin Edition Ford F-150 is a follow-up to the Ford F-150 that wowed the crowd at SEMA in 2012. This sleek truck is outfitted with custom Air Lift suspension and rocks custom 24-inch Rotiform wheels, Falken Tires, and massive Baer big brakes. The interior is redone in custom black and orange Katzkin interior, with performance upgrades that include Ford Racing exhaust.

This adventure rig is a smooth operator

A purpose-built recon adventure rig called “The Operator,” this 2017 Ford Super Duty F-350 Lariat sees just as much time off-road as it does on. A combined love of trucks and a passion for the outdoors results in this ultimate recon adventure vehicle. This Ford Super Duty features a bed-mounted UTV supported by Hellwig’s Big Wig air springs and front and rear Big Wig sway bars. The custom hand-painted digi-camo paint scheme combined with a powerful 6.7-liter Powerstroke means this truck has style and substance with enough power to climb any dune even with a UTV in the back. From recon runs in the desert to family camping trips in the dunes, the Operator is capable and comfortable.

Elegant athleticism brought to life in a custom SUV

Boasting an abundance of luxury and comfort, this 2018 Ford Expedition is dressed for any black-tie affair. Heart-stopping both inside and out, the seats wear the latest designs by Alea Leather. Ford Licensed Accessories has equipped it with the latest DVD rear entertainment system. Don’t let the pretty looks fool you – this SUV has power to compete with the best, including a CGS Performance Exhaust System for added horsepower and a throaty sound. The six-piston brakes from Sparta help it stop on a dime.

Creature comforts for the roads less traveled

This West Coast-inspired “Baja Forged Adventurer” Expedition has room for the whole family to travel in style and comfort, whether driving around town or exploring the freedom of the outdoors. Starting with an all-new 2018 Ford Expedition, LGE-CTS Motorsports took this seven-passenger family hauler and created an off-road adventurer ready to tackle the roads less traveled. Features include custom fender flares that fit over 35-inch Mud-Terrains for a wider footprint and more aggressive stance. Adding signature series “Baja Forged” bumpers adds ground clearance and protection. The upgraded suspension gives drivers the ability to attack the open road. Other amenities include a roof-top tent and refrigerator.

Small in stature, big on attitude and adventure

The “Woodsman” theme for the Vaccar EcoSport concept is like a trendy lumberjack, geared up for a big adventure in the best way possible. This Vaccar EcoSport concept is an on-off road capable vehicle that's big on style with a go-anywhere attitude. In true outdoorsy spirit, it features oversized all-terrain tires, mounted within the confines of rugged fender flares. The multi-spoke wheels are powered by an upgraded 2.0-liter engine, as indicated by the sporty axle-back exhaust tone. To finalize the outfitted adventurer, the exterior is treated to metallic burgundy and gloss black two-tone paintwork.
