Chrysler introduces industry-first vehicle manuals in Spanish

(September 14, 2012) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Chrysler Group, the first automaker to eliminate the conventional owner manuals from its vehicles and offer industry-first vehicle-information apps, will now be the first in the industry to offer complete vehicle-information kits in Spanish for the U.S. market.

Customers will have their choice of an English or Spanish kit. And later this year, they will have the ability to access vehicle information online in either language at each of the brand websites.

"The Hispanic population accounts for more than 50 million people in the U.S.," said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group's service, parts and customer-care brand. "We want to establish clear communication with our customers in their preferred language and enhance their overall experience with our vehicles, dealers and brands."

New Spanish vehicle guides contain the same information as the English guides that are available for each vehicle. The complete kit includes a variety of items including a brief user guide, tire warranty information, change-of-address cards, and a complete DVD with the owner manual, warranty information and video demonstrations.
