(Septembr 30, 2010) The Paris Motor Show is promising more than 100 world premieres when the doors open at the Paris Expo site today for two days of press previews. The public show dates are Oct. 2-17.

The growth of the Paris show — at the last event, they tell us that 80 new cars were introduced — suggests that the world’s automakers are increasingly comfortable with the prospect of parading their debutantes down a runway in front of the fashionable French.

By any measurement the number of intros for the biannual show that alternates years with the Frankfurt Motor Show is proving to be hefty. Whether the number is accurate or not is really beside the point — there will be plenty to keep the attendees busy.
