J.D. Power predicts November new-car sales will be up from year ago

(November 30, 2019) New-vehicle retail sales in November are expected to be up from a year ago, according to a forecast developed jointly by J.D. Power and LMC Automotive. Retail sales are projected to reach 1,182,400 units, a 1.2 percent increase on a selling-day adjusted basis compared with November 2018.

Reporting the same numbers without controlling for the number of selling days translates to an increase of 5.2 percent over last year. November 2019 contains one additional selling day than November 2018.

(November 27, 2019) INGOLSTADT, Germany — Audi and Twentieth Century Fox, in cooperation with Blue Sky Studios, are teaming up on a digital content piece ahead of the world premiere of the animated film "Spies in Disguise" starring Will Smith and Tom Holland. The video, called “Lunchbreak," follows super-spy Lance Sterling and scientist Walter Beckett, the characters voiced by Smith and Holland in the film, as well as the Audi RSQ e-tron, the first concept car by Audi created exclusively for an animated film.

Gas prices holding steady just before Thanksgiving holiday weekend

(November 26, 2019) For the 49 million Americans hitting the road for the Thanksgiving holiday, they will find gas prices mostly similar, if not cheaper, than last year’s holiday. Today’s national average is $2.59. That is just a few cents over the 2018 holiday weekend average of $2.57. 

“During Thanksgiving week last year we saw the national gas price average decrease a nickel between Monday and Thursday, that could be the case again this year,” said Jeanette Casselano, AAA spokesperson.

Edmunds: Car shoppers can look forward to big savings on Black Friday

The results were extremely close: 51 percent of respondents choose the Ford Mach E while 49 percent of consumers choose the Tesla.

GasBuddy predicts Thanksgiving gas prices to be highest in five years

While it may lead to some complaints — 30% of Americans saying high prices are impacting their plans — it won’t slow them down much, with a 7% rise in motorists on the road for Thanksgiving versus last year.
