Consumer Reports updates test procedures for child car seats

(April 3, 2014) YONKERS, N.Y. — Consumer Reports has created a new consumer information program for child seat safety by updating its test procedures to better reflect current vehicle conditions. Developed over a 2.5-year period, Consumer Reports' new crash tests provide consumers with comparative information on infant car seats' potential for offering an extra margin of safety.

New-car transaction prices up nearly 1.5 percent in March

(April 1, 2014) IRVINE, Calif. — Heading into the spring selling season, the analysts at Kelley Blue Book today report the estimated average transaction price for light vehicles in the United States was $31,995 in March.  New-car prices have increased by $450 (up 1.4 percent) from March 2013, while decreasing $185 (0.6 percent) from last month.

Acura celebrates 28 years as America's top luxury car brand — alphabetically

(April 1, 2014) TORRANCE, Calif. — Acura today celebrated an important milestone, marking 28 consecutive years as the top luxury automobile brand in America based on alphabetical ranking.  Since its inception as the first luxury brand from a Japanese automaker in March 1986 Acura has maintained a clear alphabetical leadership position over all other luxury brands, including Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Lexus.
