(September 18, 2013) As the Ford Mustang II turns 40 years old this fall, it remains one of the most under-appreciated examples of the breed despite being among the top sellers.

Forty years ago this fall, a completely redesigned second-generation Ford Mustang hit the road and it was a radical departure from the 1973 model it replaced. Mustang II arrived in dealerships just as the Middle East oil embargo caused gasoline prices to spike and new safety and emissions regulations were taking effect.

AAA cites top 12 child car seat mistakes parents make

(September 17, 2013) AURORA, Ill. — Installing a child car seat correctly remains a difficult task for parents and caregivers and consequently, 3 out of 4 car seats are improperly used or installed, according to the American Automobile Association of Illinois.

AAA has identified 12 mistakes that are most frequently made when installing and using car seats, which range from children moving out of car seats too soon to loose items being kept in the car, which may be dangerous to passengers in a crash.

GM Foundation study: 1 in 4 parents drive with children unsecured in car

(September 16, 2013) DETROIT — One in four parents and caregivers responding to a Safe Kids Worldwide survey said they have driven without making sure their children are safely secured in vehicles.

The report, funded as part of a $2 million grant from the General Motors Foundation, is based on a national online survey of 1,002 parents and caregivers of children ages 10 and under. It reveals that one in four parents admit to having driven without their child buckled up in a car seat or booster seat.

Honda, Toyota, Ford headline Edmunds.com's Best Used Cars for 2013

Industry new-car transaction prices up nearly one percent year-over-year
