New-vehicle retail sales strength intensifies in November

Subaru and Lexus top ALG's residual value awards

(November 16, 2011) SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — ALG, a subsidiary of TrueCar, Inc., today announced its 13th Annual Residual Value Awards, with Subaru and Lexus earning the awards for top mainstream and luxury brands, respectively.  Japanese models continued their overall dominance, winning 11 of the 21 ALG awards.

ALG's Residual Value Awards honor the vehicles in each segment that are predicted to retain the highest percentage off their MSRP after a conventional three-year period.

Toyota reclaims top spot for best retained value

(November 16, 2011) IRVINE, Calif. — Kelley Blue Book's www.kbb.com today announced results of its 2012 Residual Analysis Report.  The Best Resale Value Awards are based on projections from the Kelley Blue Book Official Residual Value Guide, determined by a staff of automotive analysts.

The brand in which the entire lineup of 2012 model-year vehicles is expected to retain the greatest amount of its original value after five years is Toyota.  The luxury brand with the same claim is Toyota's more refined sibling, Lexus.

Chevy launches Daytona Prototype

New study finds Toyota has least check engine light-related problems

Toyota is the top-ranked manufacturer in the U.S., based on a ranking derived from the fewest percentage of "check engine" light-related related problems and lowest average repair cost.
