Milestone 750,000th Kia sold in Canada

(September 3, 2016) MISSISSAUGA, ON. —  It may not seem like long ago that Kia began selling vehicles in Canada. This past July, in its 17th year of business in Canada, the company reached 750,000 vehicles sold. In celebration of the milestone, Kia Canada has provided 5 years of free scheduled maintenance service to a happy 2017 Sportage customer from Kia of Owen Sound.

Kia Canada has increased its sales from 14,759 in the company's first full year of sales in 2000 to 67,914 units in the year of 2015, an increase of over 360%. A cornerstone to this sales growth according to Kia can be attributed to the brand's dedication to offering its customers world class vehicles in terms of designs, product quality and being backed by one of Canada's leading comprehensive warranties.

"Kia Canada is delighted to have accomplished this terrific milestone of delivering our 750,000th vehicle in our 17th year of business in Canada," said Ted Lancaster, vice president and COO, Kia Canada Inc. "Noting the momentum of our brand and the rate of growth of our business in Canada, we look forward to selling our one millionth vehicle in the coming years."

In 2006, Kia hired masterful automotive designer Peter Schreyer as the brand's Chief Design Officer. At the helm, he was able generate intriguing design philosophy and familiarity between the entire product portfolio. It is no question that he has elevated the brand's design to an entirely new level.
