(August 18, 2018) The new VW Atlas is perfect for camping. The cargo area is 7 feet-by-4 feet when both rear rows of seats are folded down. That's plenty of room for a sleeping pad and a couple of sleeping bags, and is in fact larger than many tents. Introduced at the 2016 LA Auto Show, the VW Atlas has been available for purchase since May 2017. Since its debut, the Atlas has acquired a reputation as a great camping vehicle with Volkswagen enthusiasts.
