An illustration of where the most Honda Ridgelines live In U.S.

(August 16, 2018) There’s a new infographic showing where the Honda Ridgeline is most popular in the USA. The popularity of this unique truck was determined on both a total volume basis and a per-capita basis for the graphic. HondaPartsOnline.net looked at a two-year window — 2016 and 2017 — to collect the information.

Using analytics from the HondaPartsOnline.net website, they studied where people who search for Honda Ridgeline repair parts reside. They compared that data with US Census data to get the results.

“The Ridgeline is a pickup but it has some SUV-like features,” says Cesar Aranda, director of HondaPartsOnline.net. “It doesn’t come in a two-door model, it rides like a dream, and it’s a unibody with a trunk. We were wondering just who drives Ridgelines and thought breaking it out by state might give us some insight.”

It's been 13 years since the Honda Ridgeline made its debut. The 2017 models introduced the truck’s second generation. As of the end of 2017, the following states showed up on the chart for having a large number of Ridgelines per capita and total Ridgeline drivers:

    Florida
    Ohio
    Pennsylvania
    New Jersey
    New York
    North Carolina

Topping the chart per capita for Ridgelines is the District of Columbia. Washington, D.C. may have a population of only 693,972, but they have a lot of Honda Ridgeline trucks.

“We were surprised at how popular the Ridgeline is on the East coast,” says Aranda. “We’re in Texas and see quite a few around here. We don’t have a clearer picture of Ridgeline drivers but if folks on the East coast are using it as a daily driver, it makes sense. It’s economical, roomy, and supposed to do well in the snow."
