(February 5, 2023) This video takes an interesting look back at 1950s downtown America. The shops and storefronts of the little towns were the personification of mid-century America. But the highlight of the video is the many 1950s cars and pickup trucks on the streets and parked at a downtown full-service gas station. It is worth the eight minutes.

(January 16, 2023) In the late 1980s, Chrysler transformed its Town & Country, and most other station wagons it produced, by reimagining them into its first-generation minivans, built on the front-wheel-drive S platform and sharing powertrain with Lee Iacocca’s ubiquitous K-cars. That’s notable because for most of the time leading up to then, the Town & Country was a massive, luxury-packed conventional station wagon with a longitudinal layout and an overall length that stretched right out of sight.

(December 26, 2022) SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Barrett-Jackson is rolling out the red carpet for a group of iconic vehicle designs made famous on television and the big screen during its annual Scottsdale Auction at WestWorld of Scottsdale, Jan. 21-29. Included in the docket of star car re-creations is the world's only turbine-powered Batmobile re-creation based on the 1989 Batman film, a Ford Galaxie re-creation driven in the film “Fast Five” and a re-creation of the 1930 Pontiac “Munster Koach.”

(December 24, 2022) Last year, at the close of the most successful World’s Largest Collector Car Auction in history, Dana Mecum declared that Mecum Kissimmee 2023 would play host to a record-setting 4,000 vehicles. Slated for a Jan. 4-15 return to Osceola Heritage Park, Mecum Kissimmee 2023 has officially reached that goal with the consignment of its 4,000th vehicle — a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback.

Mecum Kansas City 2022 collector car auction hits $14.9 million sales

(December 14, 2022) Mecum Auctions’ most recent classic and collector car auction was held in Kansas City, Mo.,  Dec. 1-3, and with 701 vehicles crossing the auction block in total, a 74% sell-through rate was achieved as overall sales reached $14.9 million. Seven of the top 10 highest-dollar sales in Kansas City were nearly new rides with low miles and high style.
