Ford Mustang voted Europe’s most-wanted classic car

(October 2, 2013) COLOGNE, Germany — Ford Mustang is Europe’s most desirable classic car, according to a survey of more than 75,000 users of online car portal AutoScout24.

A total of 37 percent of Europeans — from Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Holland, Italy and Spain — named Ford Mustang as the classic car they would most like to own. Confirmed as coming to Europe soon for the first time since the 1970s, Mustang is the clear winner, ahead of the BMW M1 (20 percent) and Volkswagen Beetle (11 percent).

A gift to Harley Earl, 1963 Corvette to go on auction block

(September 24, 2013) In 1961, the Lincoln Continental was completely redesigned and for the first time, the names Lincoln and Continental would be paired together outside the Mark Series. Originally intended to be the 1961 Ford Thunderbird, the design was enlarged and slightly altered before being switched to the Lincoln line by Robert McNamara. One of the most striking features of the new Continental was its size. It was 14.8 inches shorter than its predecessor.
