(June 27, 2020) The original Honda CR-V was one of the first vehicles to pioneer the small, car-based SUV segment, back in the mid-1990s. Today the CR-V is the category’s best seller, and the second best-selling passenger vehicle in America. It’s also one of the best among all small SUVs with a roomy interior, loads of standard safety features and amenities, excellent reliability and resale value. Now, for the first time ever, it is offered as a hybrid model.

(June 22, 2020) For 2019, the folks at Ram did a full-on redesign of its 1500 half-ton pickup, resulting in nothing less than a tsunami of accolades, “best of” awards — including numerous “Truck of the Year” awards — and record smashing sales success. It also did what no one thought it could do, outselling the Chevrolet Silverado, making Ram not only the second best-selling truck in the segment behind Ford, but also the second best-selling vehicle in the country.

(June 3, 2020) Genesis is the fully credentialed premium luxury vehicle division of the hugely successful Korean auto giant, Hyundai. The Hyundai Genesis brand debuted back in 2008; the automaker spun Genesis off as a separate luxury entity in 2015, with the intention of directly targeting Toyota’s upmarket Lexus luxury brand.

(May 20, 2020) Introduced last year, Mercedes launched its first dedicated four-door only AMG model that the brand calls a Coupe. Previously, AMG’s models with four-doors were brought to life via the modification of existing Mercedes-Benz product offerings adding it as a trim level. The GT is only available as an AMG model.

(May 19, 2020) The ubiquitous Toyota Highlander is the best-selling three-row crossover utility vehicle in the very crowded mid-sized segment. Facing stiff competition from superb all-new or redesigned competitors like the excellent Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade, a new generation 2020 Ford Explorer, and others, Toyota has introduced its completely redesigned fourth-generation Highlander for 2020.

(May 8, 2020) The mid-sized Atlas Cross Sport is an all-new addition to the Volkswagen lineup for 2020, and a more stylish derivative of the boxier Atlas on which it’s based. For comparison, the Cross Sport is to the Atlas what the Honda Passport is to the Honda Pilot. Other competitors for the Cross Sport are the Ford Edge, Chevrolet Blazer, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Kia Sorento, and Nissan Murano.

(May 6, 2020) Mercedes’ luxury compact GLC is now the German automakers best-selling vehicle recently replacing the C-Class sedan as the brand’s best-selling vehicle. Since replacing the outgoing GLK compact SUV back in 2016, GLC has received only mild updates. Now, four years into its production run, the GLC gets a heavy mid-cycle refresh to keep it competitive as it battles the likes of popular SUVs like the BMW X3, Audi Q5, Lexus NX, Porsche Macan and others.

(May 4, 2020) Mazda’s all new CX-30 fills the gap between the subcompact and tiny CX-3 and its popular compact CX-5. The CX-30 is based on the Mazda3 sedan and hatchback but feels immensely larger thanks to the taller roof and its raised driving position. If you’ve read my other Mazda reviews, then you might recall that the Japanese automaker is on a mission to move the brand more upscale and closer to brands like Acura and Infiniti.
