Audi's worldwide sales grow 6.7 percent in May

(June 7, 2013) Audi showed continued worldwide sales growth in May by handing over some 137,200 cars to customers, representing an increase of 6.4 percent compared with the prior-year month. The new A3 family and Audi SUV models in particular strengthened the company's business. From January through May, Audi sold around 640,200 cars for a year-on-year boost of 6.7 percent.

Jaguar's Ian Callum named 'Interior Designer of the Year'

GM to include free maintenance plan for 2014 models

GM sales in China set May record, rise 9.4% to 252,942 units

(June 6, 2013) SHANGHAI — General Motors and its joint ventures sold a May record 252,942 vehicles in China. Sales increased 9.4 percent from the same month last year. Shanghai GM and SAIC-GM-Wuling as well as all of their brands also had all-time sales highs for the month.

Ram truck and Warner Bros. team up for ‘Man of Steel’

(June 6, 2013) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - The Ram Truck brand and Warner Bros. have launched a new co-branded commercial for the Ram 1500 as part of a partnership promoting Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ “Man of Steel,” the summer action adventure movie in theaters June 14.

The Chrysler Group provided vintage trucks and other vehicles to Warner Bros. for integration into key scenes in the movie.

Chrysler recalling 254,400 SUVs over restraint-system functions

(June 6, 2013) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Chrysler Group will recall approximately 254,400 SUVs in the U.S. to upgrade software that controls restraint-system function in certain types of accidents. The upgrade was deemed necessary after it was discovered that seatbelt pre-tensioners and side-curtain airbags may not function properly during slow-developing rollovers.
