Travelers this summer could be wasting upwards of $1 per gallon, or over $10 every fill up, by failing to check gas prices before crossing state lines.

(July 28, 2023) WASHINGTON, D.C. —The national average for a gallon of gas awoke from a months-long slumber, surging 13 cents since last week to $3.71. The primary cause appears to be the oil price, which has marched nearly $4 higher in the past few days to hover near $80 per barrel.  As oil accounts for almost 50 percent of the cost of a gallon of gas, higher oil prices usually mean higher pump prices.

(July 28, 2023) The IS is Lexus' compact sports sedan that was first introduced by the brand over two decades ago. The current generation arrived for the 2014 model year and received its second facelift for 2022. Over the years I've tested several iterations of the IS and in general liked it albeit more than a bit small for my 6-6 inch height but I was smitten by its excellent V6 and mellifluous exhaust notes.

(July 23, 2023) Mercedes-Benz continues expanding its all-electric fleet with EQE sedan and EQE SUV models joining the lineup this year.A long with the SUV version of the EQS, which also debuts as a 2023 model following the introduction of the EQS sedan in 2022, the German automaker now offers all-electric power in a half-dozen vehicles in its bold plan to end production of combustion engines by 2030.

Overall satisfaction declines
in consecutive years for first time

(July 22, 2023) TROY, Mich. — Vehicle manufacturers may be collectively disappointed learning that, for the first time in the 28-year history of the J.D. Power U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study, there is a consecutive year-over-year decline in owner satisfaction. According to the 2023 study overall satisfaction is 845 (on a 1,000-point scale), a decrease of 2 points from a year ago and 3 points lower than in 2021.
