(February 27, 2022) It was called Hardbody — a spunky, chunky compact pickup truck from the mid-1980s to mid-90s that was the most macho thing to come out of Nissan, offering a V-6 ‘tween squared-off flared fenders. It was an in-your-face pickup when Toyotas, Fords and Chevys were less aggressive. And it sold very well indeed, more than 127,000 in the U.S. in its last full sales

(October 16, 2021) Fully redesigned, the 2021 Nissan Rogue looks to continue its role as not only the company’s best seller but also as one of the most popular compact crossover SUVs on the market today. Through the first three quarters of the year, the Rogue holds a solid third place in U.S. sales as one of three in its class with over the 200,000 mark behind only Toyota’s RAV4 and Honda’s CR-V.

Nissan Sentra — A noteworthy remake

By Jim Meachen and Ted Biederman

(May 10, 2020) Several months ago we were introduced to the sub-compact 2020 Nissan Versa, which for years wore the title as the "least expensive car in America." It was also one of the least desirable small cars in America unless you were on a very strict budget, but wanted to purchase a new car. We were blown away by the new 2020 Versa, which is attractive and loaded with safety and technology features — a remarkable makeover.

Nissan Rogue Sport — Popular crossover refreshed

By Jim Meachen and Ted Biederman

(April 26, 2020) When Nissan introduced a new sub-compact crossover sport utility into the red-hot segment in 2017 it didn't come with a new catchy name. In what turned out to be a brilliant move Nissan married its new vehicle to the hot-selling Rogue compact crossover by calling it the Rogue Sport. And while the “junior” Rouge adopted most of its bigger brother's styling cues the Sport has become a success of its own in the competitive segment.

2020 Nissan Sentra

INDIANAPOLIS — As GM, Ford, and Chrysler flee the compact sedan segment, Nissan has decided to double attack it with vigor.  Tossing aside the previous generation’s tall lozenge styling, the all-new 2020 Sentra is back to flaunt its spicy style.  Looking like it’s been to the gym and a makeover artist, it arrives with a wide stance, chiseled flanks, suave interior, and significantly more invigorating driving experience.

Nissan Titan — More features, more HP

Nissan has updated its Titan 1500 pickup truck with a mild makeover for 2020 including a facelift that includes a bolder grille treatment, a new front bumper, newly styled headlights, unique tailgate plaques, and restyled taillights. Perhaps more important, the 5.6-liter V-8 gets more horsepower and torque and is now mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission.

2020 Nissan Titan

PHOENIX — Nissan launched its current generation Titan pickup truck in 2017. Until then, it had remained relatively unchanged since its initial launch back in 2004. The 2017 Titan was a major leap forward and huge improvement over the previous Titan. To stay competitive — now that the other major brand full-sized pickups have completed refreshes in the past two years — Nissan has given the Titan modest updates outside and some really meaningful feature upgrades for the 2020 model year.

Nissan Versa — A total makeover

By Jim Meachen and Ted Biederman

For two generations the Nissan Versa was a subcompact sedan that lived at the bottom rung of the automotive ladder, and for years has had the distinction of being the "least expensive car in America." The remarkable all-new 2020 Versa changes all that.

Nissan Leaf Plus — More range, less anxiety

By Jim Meachen and Ted Biederman

Range and price may not be everything, but those components are usually the most important for electric vehicle (EV) buyers. When Nissan released its second generation Leaf in 2018 with a 150-mile range it was immediately at a disadvantage to such new entrants as the Chevrolet Bolt, which came in at 238 miles.

Nissan hustled to rectify its miscalculations introducing a 2019 Leaf Plus with a bigger battery and up to 226 miles range on a single charge. Along with the extra range comes more horsepower and better performance. It's a satisfying recipe for the world's most popular EV, which hit 400,000 sales worldwide a few months ago.

2020 Nissan Versa

NASHVILLE — For two generations, the Nissan Versa held its own in the sub-compact car segment not with flashy styling nor lavish interiors, but with an affordable price, roomy cabin, and competent handling.  Priorities led to cars with tall/narrow profiles and interiors awash in hard plastic.  For 2020, the Versa arrives for its third generation keeping all owners appreciated while slapping on some fancy new clothes.
